Volunteer FAQS
Do I need medical, dental or legal experience to volunteer?
No. Many of our volunteer roles do not require medical experience, including administrative support, reception, legal intake, community outreach, language support, and special projects.
What are the volunteer shift times?
Most clinic volunteer shifts take place during the morning or afternoon. Morning shifts are typically 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and afternoon shifts are typically 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Community outreach opportunities are also available during evenings or weekends.
How often do volunteers need to serve?
Volunteer schedules vary depending on the role and the volunteer’s availability. Some volunteers serve weekly, while others help monthly or as needed.
What kind of commitment do I need to make?
Because most volunteer roles require training, we ask volunteers to make a one-year commitment when possible. However, we may be able to accommodate shorter-term volunteer opportunities depending on the role, schedule, and current clinic needs.
How do I apply to volunteer?
Please complete the volunteer application form and submit it to Eileen Harris at eileenharris@conejofreeclinic.org or call 805-497-3575 x 203 with any questions.
