Medical Services

The Conejo Free Clinic is a not for profit organization serving the Conejo Valley and Ventura County with medical services for those who have no other access to care. The Clinic is staffed by volunteers. Medical Services are provided weekly by appointment and according to the availability of volunteer physicians and medical staff. Some services book up quickly and there may be a wait. We will try to get you in as soon as possible.

DONATIONS:

Since we are a non-profit and survive only by grants and donations, we request a $20 donation (or any portion of the $20 if you are able) at the time of your visit. This helps us offset our costs and keep our doors open, however no one is turned away due to inability to make a donation.

The Clinics offered are:

Family Practice Clinics
These services include general practice medical problems including minor infections (viral, urinary, etc.), school and limited work exams, sexually transmitted diseases, and brief consultations for other medical problems. Lab tests can be performed, on our doctor's orders. Lab test requests from other facilities or physicians cannot be done.

Women's Clinics
Services cover PAP tests, breast exams, birth control, hormone replacement therapy, vaginal infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. These can be given only if prescribed through our clinic. Low cost mammogram referrals are also available to our patients.

Pediatric Clinics
Clinics available by appointment for children up to 18 years of age.

Anonymous HIV testing and counseling
A one to one counseling session is followed with the testing. Results are given in one week, also in a one to one session. This program is completely anonymous.

Immunization Clinics
Immunizations for children are offered by appointment. These include Dtap, Oral Polio, Hib, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Prevnar and Chicken Pox. Previous immunization records MUST be brought in. A donation of $20.00 per family (regardless of number of children or number of immunizations) is greatly appreciated.

PPD TB tests are also available and the patient must return in 48-72 hours to have the test read.

Pregnancy tests
Pregnancy tests can be run during any general practice or women's clinic. Results of a urine test will be available within 15 minutes.

All calls, visits, and files are kept confidential. If you wish a message to be left you must specify it in your message or in your file.
