Clinic Mission
The mission of the Conejo Free Clinic is to provide health
and legal services to people who may have no other access
to such care, without regard to ability to pay.
Beliefs
We believe that all people have the right to access health
care and legal counseling.
We believe that physical and mental health is affected by
socioeconomic circumstances and that other community resources
may need to be utilized by our clients.
We believe that all people should be informed participants
in their own health care and legal well being through education.
We believe the organization should model the values of self-responsibility
and wise use of resources that we seek to share with our clients.
Principles
To respect the dignity and autonomy of each person by providing
them the information skills and support necessary to promote
meaningful participation in decisions care.
To be responsive to changing community needs.
To value prevention throughout the spectrum of health services.
To be sensitive to the appropriateness and relevance of our
care with regard to the patient's life situation including
but not limited to culture, education, language, family structure,
and beliefs
To foster individual contributions within a working environment
where each member's ideas are valued and respected.
To maintain a funding base that is consistent with the philosophy
of the Clinic and accept responsibility to educate funding
sources about the way we deliver care.
